Space spraying is not recommended for the prevention and control of malaria in children and adults in areas with ongoing malaria transmission; insecticide treated nets (ITNs) and Indoor residual spraying (IRS) should be prioritized instead.

Remarks The panel recommended against the deployment of space spraying to control malaria, given the lack of evidence of impactagainst malaria. Due to the short-lived nature of the insecticides used, space spraying is generally costly and wasteful ofresources.
