Space spraying: WHO suggests not using space spraying for the prevention and control of malaria in children and adults in areas with ongoing malaria transmission; Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) or insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) should be prioritized instead.

Remark The panel recommended against the deployment of space spraying to control malaria, given the lack of evidence of impact against malaria. Due to the short-lived nature of the insecticides used, space spraying is generally costly and wasteful of resources.
