Systematic testing for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) is not recommended in people with diabetes, people with harmful alcohol use, tobacco smokers, and underweight people unless they are already included in the above recommendations

People should be tested and treated for LTBI with strict adherence to human rights and the strongest ethical considerations. For example, positive test results or treatment for LTBI should not affect a person’s immigration status or delay the possibility of immigrating.
