Notes and Remarks
In settings in which pretreatment HIV drug resistance to NNRTIs is ≥10%, EFV-based ART should be avoided. EFV should also be avoided for people initiating or reinitiating first-line regimens with previous ARV drug exposure, regardless of the national prevalence of pretreatment drug resistance.
